The Amoyo dance platform offers African dance, Contemporary, Ballet, Gumboot and Pantsula dance

We incorporate musical rhythm training using djembe drums, rhythm sticks and tin cans. We believe that the discipline of dance requires you to connect with your body, mind and creative soul is an incredibly powerful psycho-social tool that our children need.  Becoming more in tune with controlling their body makes them more self-aware, it assists in increasing their focus and aids better concentration and discipline in school.  The feeling of conquering a new dance move, and becoming flexible and stronger physically definitely translates to them becoming more confident, increasing self-esteem and self-worth.

NB: Pantsula is a traditional and highly energetic dance form that originated in the black townships of South Africa during the apartheid era. It developed into a form of social commentary for black South Africans
